Creating space for you to thrive

Do you mentally struggle to let go of work for the weekend?

Often we find ourselves holding onto our week, the to-do’s, what went well, or went wrong. So many thoughts – often meaning we are distracted and not really present with ourselves or others, finding it hard to switch off. This creates stress and anxiety. How do we let go and transition into the freedom and space of our weekend?

Top Tips

– Create a list or mind map of outstanding tasks for next week, schedule them
– Close your laptop, or area of work and tidy up
– Take 3 slow deep breaths, imagine or sense clear white light and energy coming in from the top of your head as you inhale filling the body, and letting go of your week and anything you no longer need on the outbreath through your feet
– On your commute home give yourself permission to enjoy the disconnect from work and welcome in some ‘you space’
– Imagine or sense what you will enjoy this weekend
– Change into some relaxed clothing
– Go barefoot on the grass (really!) imagine or sense your feet growing roots down into the centre of the earth (this grounds and calms you and encourages you out of your thinking head)
– Make some quality time and space for YOU to just chill and ‘be’ rather than ‘do’
– Connect with friends and loved ones – be still and present, allow the joy to sink in
– Enjoy your weekend!
